The Slide @ T3

Heard from bro-in-law that there is a big slide at T3 @ Changi Airport. Since baby loves to take slide, we decide to go and check it out.

There are actually 2 different slides. One is for children, where the start of the slide is at level B2 and the end of the slide is at level B3. The other one, which is more suitable for adults, starts from level 1 and ends at level B3. The former is free for all. However, to take the longer slide (12m!), you need a coupon. Each coupon is worth $10 which can be exchange with your receipt of your expenditure at T3. Be it retail or food, all can be redeemable. Furthermore, once you exchanged the coupon, it can be used anytime within approx 3 months time.

This is interesting. There are some ratings at the end of the slide. Depending on how fast and where you would end, you could be "good", "cool", "excellent" or "awesome!" (which is the furthest).

Happy baby after having so much fun...

Happy Birthday to Mama ~~

April 10th was my mama's birthday. Since it falls on a weekday, we decided to give her a treat at Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant during an earlier weekend.

The Peking duck and Shredded Scallops with Fish and Egg white were the highly recommended dishes. The latter was really good but the Peking duck was just medicore. Rest of the dishes were just normal. The dessert, Toffee Banana, won us over instead.

Loads of photos taken at the restaurant.
(pardon the poor quality, I edited the photos using an iphone app)

On the actual day itself, we bought a cake to celebrate after dinner at home. This cake from Glace was really good!

Happy Birthday, mama/ah ma~~! :)

Tourist for a day :: On the Singapore Flyer

Big sis had some good deal from deal.com.sg last christmas. We manage to get the tix for both Singapore Flyer and Dukw Tours at $31 each.
Singapore Flyer first. Will arrange for the Dukw Tours sometime this year.

It was the first time for bro-in-law, hubby, baby and me, while it was the 2nd time for the rest of my family members.

Great views. The ride took about 30mins.

Right at the top!

Looking down..

Went for lunch at the food court after the ride. The food court was decorated to look like the 70s,80s. Not bad, but as expected at touristic places, the food were pricey.

We seldom go out together as a family, usually just for dinner during special occasions. I'm really looking forward to the next family day trip! :)

:: Last day of playgroup at JG :: Christmas 2011 ::

Julia Gabriel at Evans Road has closed end of 2011. All the classes will be held at Forum or at the Chiltern House at East Coast starting this year 2012. Since it is quite far from my parents house (since they are the ones that bring baby to school during weekdays), we decided to withdraw from JG and start her in another playgroup in 2012.

The theme for last day of school was Christmas Celebration. Everyone had to bring a gift for exchange. Since I was on leave that day, I accompanied baby to school. They had a mini party and as usual, do some activites before going out to play by themselves.

Santa came to visit too! All the gifts were collected and randomly given out to the kids (babies, I would call them) by Santa. It was her first time seeing Santa, and she said she is scared. Haha, I guessed it is the usual reaction that children will have. One of the girls even cried when Santa walked into the class.

Got a playdoh. Told her she can play only when she is five years old. Heh.

On the last day of work before Christmas Holidays, hubby and I decided to have a mini xmas lunch at New York New York.

On Christmas morning, we had a surprise. This was left outside our room.

Baby was happy to receive a present but had no idea what it meant. Told her that the present was from Santa. She loved it very much.

She told me that she is not afraid of Santa Claus now. :)

Had dinner with my parents during Christmas day at Central (Clarke Quay). Introduced marutama ramen to my parents and they liked it.

The BIG 3-0

I have not been celebrating my birthdays much since the 21st one. Every year, one night was spent having dinner with my family and another night with hubby. So I was really overwhelmed when I received presents and had celebration with close friends, colleagues, and of course, with my family. I suspect it is due to the big THREE-OH. They say reaching the big THREE-OH, you have stepped into another stage of your life. I guess so.

I was invited to my sec friend's house for steamboat a week before my actual day. Since we do not meet up much, I had thought it was just a normal gathering. I brought my little girl along. I had really no idea that they prepared a cake (apple crumble made lovingly by my bestie) and sang birthday song for me! I was so touched! We have known each other for 17 years...and counting...:) Thanks girls.

Close collegues also planned a dinner with me. We went to Ma Maison at Millenia Walk. Come to think of it, I have known these guys for almost 7 years! They treated me to a nice dinner. Received eye masks and body lotion from them as presents. Thanks!

Was rushing my work one day before my actual day coz I had planned to be on leave on my birthday (which was the next day). Received a unknown call from someone. Thinking that it may be call from some bank, I did not pick it up initially. After letting it ring for sometime, I do not know why but I decided to answer. It was from a florist. He said he is reaching my office in 5 mins and asked to meet at the guard house. Oops! Flowers! From hubby? Unlikely, though not impossible. I was thinking more of my sisters. And yeah..they were really from them! What a great surprise! Thanks, sistas!

So on the actual day, hubby and I had a buffet lunch at MBS Todai Seafood Buffet. It serves a wide variety of food. However, most were there for the seafood and so were we! It was my first time having Alaskan Snow Crab. Yummy!

First time to MBS. Didn't know that there was a "river" indoors, just like the one at Macau Venetian Casino. Instead of gondolas, the Singapore version were sampans.

After watching "Real Steel" (a very good show), we shopped around and finally, to have dinner with my family. We went to the Singapura Restaurant located at Selegie. Saw the recommendations of this restaurant from a Channel 8 show and decided to give it a try. The crispy duck was really good.

Can see that I was trying desperately to take a photo with my baby, but she refused!

Blurred pics of a hug and a kiss.

Birthday cake from the sistas!

And, my present from hubby. Yay! :)

Thanks all for the presents and celebration. I really felt loved......and old. Haha..:)

***This is another long overdue post. Just FYI, baby's birthday was in Sept and mine was in Oct...***
